Know Your Alumni Series - Part 1

Current Role and Responsibility: Global Marketing Manager, Financial Services
Role Before Joining PGSEM: Technology Consultant, Oracle (5 years)
Role After Completing PGSEM: Pre-Sales (1.5 years) and currently Marketing (6 months)

Q. Tell us about your journey to where you are today?
Thanks to PGSEM, I've been able to sell myself to non-SDLC roles including pre-sales and marketing. The journey has been quite exciting with its own share of ups and downs, but no regrets whatsoever.
Q. Tell us something about the family?
Non-nuclear family based out of Bangalore. The latest addition being my nephew.

Q. 3 words to describe you.
Eternal day-dreamer

Q What could have been an alternative career for you?
Stage play

Q. What is the most challenging aspect of your role?
Far too many stakeholders with seldom concurrence!

Q. Describe THE incident which has influenced you the most to be what you are today.
Difficult to point to one particular event. Life has been offering a string of experiences with few pearls along the way.

Q How do you unwind from the business pressures that are an inseparable part of your job?
Travel. hangout with friends over weekends and stop planning long-term

Q. When was the last holiday you went when you were completely shut off from the outside world?
Few weeks ago

Q. Lighter elements/ interesting bit that no one knows about you!
That I am pessimistically optimist!

Q. Your personal slogan.
Everything in this world is absolutely relative - hence one man's justice is another's impeachment!

Q. Whom do you consider as your Role Model and Why?
My maternal grand-dad. His life style was simple yet respectful and his passion was learning - Not sure if I can be inquisitive at the age of 90 (if i live that long!)

Q  What was the influence of PGSEM in the professional life?
Whatever shift that I am able to do from core-IT to management roles is thanks to PGSEM.

Q. What is your message for PGSEMers?
 PSGEM is no silver bullet but then whoever got anything free in this world!
